Economic impact of the Port of NY and NJ on the State and Region

September 16, 2003

The topic of the September 16 program was the economic impact of the Port of New York and New Jersey on the state and region as a whole. It was a half-day morning event held at the Port and members heard from a variety of experts from both the public and private sectors. A Port terminal tour and a discussion on security was part of the agenda. We also arranged a helicopter tour of the region, so that members could witness from above the Port and the mammoth operation associated with moving products in and out of the region.
