September
16, 2003
The topic of the September
16 program was the economic impact of
the Port of New York and New Jersey on the state and region as
a whole. It was a half-day morning event held at the Port
and members heard from a variety of experts from both the
public and private sectors. A Port terminal tour and a
discussion on security was part of the agenda. We also arranged a helicopter tour of the region, so that
members could witness from above the Port and the mammoth operation
associated with moving products in and out of the region.
