Cornerstone Event at the New York Stock Exchange

Photo and Video from Closing Bell Ceremony

April 12, 2006

On April 12, Cornerstone New Jersey members are invited to an exciting program at the New York Stock Exchange (NYSE), the financial epicenter of the world. Program highlights include greetings from NYSE CEO John Thain; a behind the scenes VIP tour of the NYSE, an economic forecast panel discussion focusing on the national and local economies, a briefing from a CNBC reporter, and participation in the closing bell ceremony. The event is being hosted by Art Ryan, the Chairman and CEO of Prudential Financial, Inc.

The NYSE is the world’s leading and most technologically advanced equities market. On an average day, 1.61 billion shares trade on the NYSE.

Once in New York at 10:30 a.m., we will start the day with a brunch at Delmonico’s, the oldest continually operating restaurant in New York City. This historic venue, minutes from the NYSE, has hosted hundreds of notable individuals throughout its history, such as Mark Twain, Charles Dickens, Abraham Lincoln, Andrew Jackson, Andrew Carnegie, and The Prince of Wales.

Next, we will head to the prestigious Stock Exchange Boardroom where John Thain, CEO of the NYSE, will welcome us. That will be followed by an economic forecast panel discussion featuring Martin A. Regalia, Chief Economist, U.S. Chamber of Commerce; James W. Hughes, Dean, Edward J. Bloustein School of Planning and Public Policy; and Jason Bram, Economist, Federal Reserve Bank of New York’s Microeconomic and Regional Studies Function. The session will focus on the national economy, as well as what is specifically happening in the New York-New Jersey region.

While on break from reporting on the floor of the NYSE, CNBC’s Bob Pisani will stop by to update us on the latest financial news of the day. We will then be treated to an in-depth tour of the trading floor, as well as other VIP areas of the NYSE. The group will be split up, allowing all NYSE traded companies the opportunity to visit their trading booth.

To conclude, our group, led by Prudential Financial Chairman and CEO Arthur F. Ryan, will ring the closing bell on the trading day. All guests will receive a Closing Bell Medallion, which commemorates our participation. We will leave New York at around 4:30 p.m.
