Exclusive
Briefing at U.S. Chamber of Commerce |
February
1 & 2, 2006
Dear
Cornerstone Member,
For the second year, an exclusive program in Washington, D.C.
is being planned for Cornerstone New Jersey members to
coincide with the State
Chamber’s Annual Walk to Washington.
Highlights of the agenda include dinner with members of
Congress on the evening of February 1 and a high-level
briefing on February 2 at the U.S. Chamber of Commerce, the
morning of the Congressional Dinner.
At the request of Cornerstone members, we will once again
begin this special event with a 6:30 p.m. reception on the
rooftop of the Hay-Adams
Hotel, which offers a spectacular view of the
White House.
Originally designed in the 1920s as a residential
hotel, the Hay-Adams has preserved the ambiance of a
distinguished private home on Lafayette Square.
At the reception, and the 7:30 p.m. dinner that
follows, Cornerstone members will be provided with a unique
opportunity to dine with members of the New Jersey
Congressional delegation and other invited special guests.
In addition, we are arranging post-dinner options for
Cornerstone members that will surely be memorable.
Breakfast will be
offered the next morning and the day’s program will be
highlighted by an exclusive 10 a.m. program at the U.S.
Chamber of Commerce, which is adjacent to the Hay Adams Hotel.
We are working with U.S. Chamber staff on an up-to-the
minute briefing on issues important to our members.
We hope to have key Hill leaders join us during the
morning, and look forward to a welcome by Tom Donohue,
President of the United States Chamber of Commerce.
Following the program at the U.S. Chamber of Commerce,
meetings for those interested will be arranged on Capitol
Hill.
After that, you will have time to rest and prepare for
the State
Chamber’s
big event, the 69th Congressional Dinner, which
begins with a reception at 6 p.m. followed by dinner at 7 p.m.
for 1,900 of your closest friends.
